THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Housing Solicitor to join a large, reputable housing department. You will be joining a team that is well regarded within their sector, advising on a caseload of Legal Aid matters. Experience with vulnerable clients, including legal help and legal aid cases is ideal as you will need to ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency contract requirements.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from Housing Solicitors with a minimum of 2 years' PQE gained with another leading law firm. It is essential that you have public funding experience to include, possession proceedings, disrepair claims and counterclaims, obtaining Injunctions in harassment and unlawful eviction claims, Homelessness Judicial Review Claims and s.204 Appeals to County Court. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and display clear capabilities when building strong relationships. You will be expected to nurture existing relationships as well as seeking to build relationships with potential new clients in the sector.
